2016 mintage figures just released!

The Royal Mint have just released the mintage figures for the 2016 dated circulation coins.

Mintage figures have been released for the 2016 coins.

These are the new figures:

WW1 Army £2 – 9,550,000

Shakespeare Comedies £2 – 4,335,000

Shakespeare Histories £2 – 4,615,000

Shakespeare Tragedies £2 – 5,695,000

Great Fire of London £2 – 5,135,000

Britannia £2 – 2,925,000

Peter Rabbit 50p – 9,600,000

Beatrix Potter 50p – 6,900,000

Jemima Puddle-Duck 50p – 2,100,000

Mrs Tiggy-Winkle 50p – 8,800,000

Squirrel Nutkin 50p – 5,000,000

Team GB 50p – 6,400,000

Battle of Hastings 50p – 6,700,000

    I also have a Benjamin Franklin 50p 2013 was told worth £10 but like u found out could be worth more

    Now that the 2016 mintage figures are out and most are not as rare as anticipated, when will you be updating the scarcity index? – particularly the £2 one.

      Hi Jim, that’s a good point and the answer is yes, we will be releasing quarterly updates for 50p and £2 coins. This will also allows us time to have a look at the swap request date to get the most accurate picture. I hope this helps, Luke

    Definitive 50p shield design for 2016 not released in to circulation. Must be very rare then and worth £££££

    Thanks for this. Any news on the 2017 commemorative coins release dates? All I can find is “Spring”, and the Royal Mint has no BU versions for sale (yet?), bar the full year 2017 set.

    Any news on the 2017 new coins release dates? I see only “Spring” listed, and it’s May already. Nothing for any 2017 commemorative coins, except the complete yearly packs.

    Do you know yet if any of the new 2017 Beatrix Potter 50p’s will be entered into circulation, or will we only be able to purchase these as uncirculated coins?
