This new £5 coin celebrates Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday which falls on Thursday, 21st April 2016. Both her 70th and 80th birthdays have been commemorated by £5 coins being issued and this birthday follows suit. The new coin features a crowned Royal Cypher above the number 90, surrounded by roses and was designed by Christopher Hobbs.
