This 50p was issued as part of a nine-coin series celebrating 95 years of A. A. Milne’s loveable children’s tale, Winnie the Pooh. Issued as the fourth coin in the series, this 50p’s design by The Walt Disney Company features an original illustration from the Winnie the Pooh storybooks by E.H. Shepard. It shows all the best-loved characters from the book, with the original title in the centre. The obverse features the fifth portrait of HM QEII by Jody Clark.
